Ich habe lange gebraucht bis ich wirklich in dieses Buch reingekommen bin, was vor allem an den für mich fremden Namen, Bräcuehn, Wesen und Bezeichnungen lag. Aber sobald ich in der Story drin war und wirklich verstanden hab was ab ging, fand ich es super Julie Kagawa hat eine ganz eigene und wie ich finde sehr faszinierende Art zu schreiben und auch wie bei ihren anderen Büchern hat mir dieser Auftakt der Reihe sehr gut gefallen. Ihre Charaktere haben Tiefgang und sind einzigartig; von der von Kagawa geschaffenen Welt mal ganz abgesehen. ich habe noch nie zuvor ein Fantasy-Buch gelesen das sich auf diese Weise mit der asiatischen Kultur auseinandergesetzt hat und fand es wirklich gelungen. Ich freue mich sehr auf die weiteren Teile.

The decision that has been made to travel together, things work out finefor the both of them right?Characters: 4/5 We follow two main characters; Yumeko, who was raised by monks and was told to bring the scroll tosafety within another temple, so that the monks there will be able to protect it.And Kage, from the Shadow Clan (I was/am not sure to actually trust..). He is looking for a scroll, not knowing that ever sincethey met, Yumeko has that certain scroll strapped to her body. This is not he only thing he doesn't know about her...Writing: 4/5 I personally like it when words in another language are thrown in, but only when they add to the story.And they did! And I loved how they added another layer to the story.Reread: Yes, I think I will. Also want to read the next book in this trilogy.
I loved the idea of a story set in Japan, with some mystic, some romance and a lot of amazing settings. While I got most of it, I had a hard time getting in to the story and also, liking the characters. Even so, it was a good read and I would encourage everyone to give it a try.
Mal wieder ein erstklassiges Buch von Julie Kagawa!Sowohl die Geschichte als auch die Charaktere sind sehr gelungen und man kann sich gut reinfühlen und die Interaktionen nachvollziehen.Die Tatsache, dass viele Begriffe aus dem Japanischen übernommen wurden und auch die Charaktere teilweise japanische Wörter benutzen machen es einem nur noch leichter sich in die Welt und Kultur von Shadow of the Fox einzufühlen.(Für all die japanischen Begriffe gibt es extra ein Glossar hinten)Alles in einem ein großartiges Buch, das ich innerhalb eines Tages verschlungen habe und definitiv weiterempfehlen kann.Vielleicht vor allem für diejenigen, die sich generell für japanisches und auch Mangas und Co. interessieren :)
